A Note on Gender Terms
Hello blog readers. Once again, let me say thank you to everyone who is reading this blog. Your support means a lot to me.
I wanted to write a quick note on my use of gender terms within this blog.
As some have noted, I tend to use feminine terms for sex workers and masculine terms for clients. I’ve been asked why I use this terminology. The simple answer is that is is most convenient to what I am writing about.
The majority of sex workers in CTS are women. The majority of clients are men.
I understand that there are large numbers of male sex workers. And there are female clients. But these categories are in the minority compared to the traditional female sex workers and male clients. As a result, I will generally use the feminine and masculine terms that I have been employing.
That is not to say that I will not be addressing other groups in future blog posts. I hope to be able to, as some point or another, examine all aspects of Consensual Transactional Sex. I do not wish to discriminate at all. I believe that CST has something to offer just about anyone, and I want to discuss all aspects of the community. But I have to start somewhere, and that is the area I know best.
